This is presenting a home in it’s very best light, especially focusing on all the positives and “playing them up” to draw a buyer’s attention to the best characteristics of the home. But that isn’t all!  Realtor, Les Bailey says: “When selling your home, you are entering a beauty contest and a pricing war at the same time! Homes that are staged sell so much quicker and closer to the seller’s asking price than their competition.”

Let’s look at some statistics. In a nation-wide survey of Staged Homes vs. Non-Staged Homes, the staged homes sold in 8.9 days on average or three times faster than new listings that were not staged. They also sold for an average of 100.3% of the asking price! Several of the homes that had not been staged sat on the market for many days or months without a single offer, but once staged, sold in 13.7 days on average! (Barb Schwarz- ASP Stager)
